Eight years inside the moving broker industry. I've seen every tactic, every script, every way a customer gets taken advantage of. This is what I do with that.
I spent 8 years working in the moving broker industry. I've been on the other end of that call — the one you pick up thinking it's a moving company but is actually a commissioned salesperson whose entire job is to get your deposit before you ask too many questions.
I've seen the tactics used to book jobs. I've watched customer service absorb the anger of customers who were misled. I've seen deposits locked in through booking tricks, loads that went sideways, customers blindsided on delivery day by charges nobody told them about.
The industry has a real problem — not with the rules, which actually protect customers quite well — but with the gap between what the rules say and what customers are told. Most people don't read the FMCSA guide before they move. Most people don't know what a Bill of Lading is until they're standing in front of a truck being asked to sign one.
Movers Exposed exists to close that gap. The guide on this site is written from the inside — from someone who knows how the process actually works, not how it's supposed to look on paper. My goal is simple: no one should have to figure this out the hard way.
"The rules exist to protect you. The problem is nobody explains them until after something goes wrong. That's what this site is for."
